Towards a real User-Centered Design
UCDmanager is a free collaborative web application for managing and documenting User-Centered Design and usability techniques in an integrated manner. It brings together user roles, personas, abstract essential use cases, heuristic evaluations, and thinking-aloud user testing records in one place.
The tool is built to support UX professionals, developers, and stakeholders throughout the interface development process. By centralizing UCD technique information, it makes it easier to reuse elements between techniques and iterations, and to share findings across the whole team.
UCDmanager offers pre-built templates and a desktop app option. A demo project — based on a GMail workflow — is available to explore, showing how user roles, use cases, and heuristics connect in practice.

A user-centered design process depends on a clear understanding of the people who will interact with the final product.
